guided tours

"Here you will see how a breed of rugged pioneers lived. With few tools and without government aid, these hardy people subdued our great Western Wilderness."

Educational agri/nature tours, on foot or horseback, can be provided for $300/day, per group, on the following subjects...

1. Native & Natural History Tours

"Arrow", our native ranch hybrid grey wolf dog, will join you as you explore the history and culture of the American Indians that once lived on the ranch by visiting and reviewing original artifacts, habitats, and natural campsites. Gather acorns, vising American Indian grinding sites, and harvest pine nuts to roast on the campfire. We can even show you how to make Manzanita Tea!

Tours will allow you to explore the abundance of natural fruits, vegetables, and wildlife that thrive from our fresh natural water springs and meadows.  Explore the natural plants and trees along with what their benefits were for our early American Pioneers.

2. Gold Prospecting Trips

The way our early American pioneers did during the 1849 California Gold Rush. "Ole Grubstake" and "Wild Bill" are experts and enjoy teaching our youth about the secrets of prospecting.

You'll enjoy guided rides using horses, mules and/or donkeys, to pack in camping gear and gold panning equipment as you search for gold next to the creek with your family and friends.

3. Pioneering Tours

Engage in everything from early American Pioneer basics to falling, bucking, and hand-splitting firewood to the art of making custom lumber from natural pine and oak. Learn to build a natural log cabin by the "learning by doing" method.

4. American Bison Tours

Tour and explore the last two species of our great American Bison in their natural habitat. This is the largest mammal in North America, weighing up to 3,000 pounds. The American Bison is the most naturally balanced and successful mammal in the world.

There were over 200 million Bison living within North American in 1863. The White Bison is a completely separate breed, nearly extinct today!
